FAQ
Summa House does not permit outside catering. We offer a range of in-house food options designed to suit all event types, and our team will work with you to tailor a menu that fits your celebration perfectly.
Summa House offers a curated playlist or DJ to suit the vibe of the venue. DJs can be arranged for full venue bookings or Breeze Bar events at an additional cost. Just chat with our team when booking to lock in your music preferences.
Absolutely! Small decorations like table balloons are welcome to help personalise your celebration. Please note that confetti, glitter, and confetti-style products (including poppers) are not permitted.
You’re also welcome to bring your own cake. A $30 cakeage fee applies, which includes refrigeration, a cake plate, knife, crockery, and cutlery for serving.
The minimum spend is the required amount to be spent on food and drinks for exclusive use of a function space. It’s not an additional fee—just a total spend commitment for your booking. You can easily reach this through our curated food and beverage packages or a bar tab.
To secure your booking, we require a $500 deposit (or 10% for bookings over $10,000), which is applied to your final invoice. Final numbers, menu selections, and full payment are due no later than 14 days prior to your event.
Summa House is an open-air venue, so weather is always something to keep in mind when booking. Each table includes a weatherproof umbrella or gazebo, and we have a limited number of pop-up gazebos available. For larger events, marquee coverage can be arranged at an additional cost.
In the event of poor weather, we’ll always do our best to relocate your group to a more sheltered area, subject to availability.
Important to note:

Food and beverage numbers must be finalised 14 days in advance. A reduction in numbers after this point may incur produce costs and up to 10% of your total function spend.

If final payment is not received by the due date, your event may be cancelled and the deposit forfeited.

If your group does not reach the agreed minimum spend, the difference will be charged as venue hire and is non-refundable.

While we take care of your belongings, Summa House is not responsible for lost or damaged items.

The event organiser is financially responsible for any damage to the venue or property caused by guests or decorations. Please check with management before attaching anything to fixtures.

Any equipment brought in must be approved by management, and we cannot take responsibility for its condition or performance.

Please note that outside DJs or bands are not permitted for private functions—Summa House can provide entertainment options upon request.
